This restaurant is authentic as it gets. We have been here so many times and will always keep coming back because the food is high quality, healthy, and very delicious. We always start with the House Salad which is a great way to begin your meal. The Tandoori chicken is so juicy and succulent, and the Lamb Korma is one of our favorites. Probably one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend the duck curry, which the meat is stewed so well that even some thin bone can be easily chewed. Also ordered the Lamb komar, which the sauce is so creamy and makes a perfect match with the garlic naan.
The service at this restaurant was great! We visited on a weekday night and easily found a parking spot right outside. When we walked in, we were given the option to choose our own table and the staff kindly dimmed the bright lights for a more comfortable atmosphere. Although only two visible workers on duty, they were incredibly kind and patient, despite our longer waiting time for food. Here are some examples of their exceptional service: - Our waiter waited patiently while we took our time to order and even explained the menu to us since we were not familiar with Indian cuisine. - When my dad accidentally spilled water on the floor, a waiter immediately came to clean it up. - The staff checked on us regularly and provided us with clean dishes and utensils after each course/meal. (Also there was a free refill for the rice) Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant and would definitely recommend it to others.
First of all. I’m very satisfied with the service. But the best part was the food. This is definitely an authentic Indian restaurant. The food was one of the best foods I’ve ever tasted, considering I’m Indian. No wonder this place won top 257 best dining places to eat in NJ in 2014. I was shocked to see the restaurant almost empty.
Cute place for some really good Indian food. The restaurant is cozy and clean, with slightly generic decor. The food is cooked well and the menu even has some things that are not seen too often in other Indian restaurants. Must tries are the cheese naan and avocado chat for starters. Lunch platter is a good way to try smaller portions of everything you want to try.
This is my favorite Indian restaurant! You get the best balance of price and quality. I got the lunch special today which is very worth it and very delicious. I’m always craving the food here lol
Came here for lunch on a Monday based on the good reviews and was pleasantly surprised. We got two lunch platters (chicken tikka masala and lamb curry) which came with rice, dal, saag, and a giant basket of naan. We also got mango lassis which were delicious. The mains came with generous portions of chicken and lamb, we were stuffed. The lamb was especially tender. We’ll be back!
I am a Teaneck native, a chef and have a deep love for Indian cuisine and let me tell you, this place does not disappoint! I always enjoy the food and the service here. The owner always does a check in after the food arrives and strives to ensure his guest's satisfaction! In this particular day I had the lunch platter but I also cannot eat here without ordering their pakora and a Masala chai everything is just so delicious and made with love!
